Who is behind FOME.
FOME is the work of Dr Jeremy Mellins, an NHS GP who works in Berkshire and lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife and three children. When he's not in the consulting room he's probably cooking, listening to music, or opening something he shouldn't on a weeknight.
He's been thinking about this stuff for about thirty years. The short version: he is passionately hopeful about the future but deeply worried that if we don't get things right, he won't live to see it — and neither will his kids. FOME is his answer to that worry. Not a book that tells you what to think, but a project with genuinely global ambition: to get every human being alive to stop panicking, stop ignoring, and stop denying the reality sitting right in front of us, and instead to look forward together. To build consensus about the world we actually want, and then to impose the will of an entire species on our governments and our biggest industries — so that the future we get is the kind and brilliant one we deserve.
He loves humanity. This is his way of showing it.
